When your computer is gradually running slow, or just does not work correctly, it is usually because of outdated device drivers. On this occasion, you can choose to update your drivers manually, or simply with driver update software. Here I will be going over both options aiming to help you with your driver issues. It is quite important for users to be familiar with how a driver works and the factors involved on ways to properly install, update, or even remove them if necessary to correct these problems.

Generally speaking, there are two types of device drivers, they are: Automatic Executable Drivers and Manual Driver Installations. Automatic Executable Drivers refer to those device drivers only need to be executed to automatically install its components in a computer system. While the latter ones are those requiring in-depth knowledge of MS Windows or other platforms before they can be installed in a computer system. The user usually needs to use or to be acquainted with MS Windows Device Manager and Device properties or related applications related with other platforms to associate each component to the device.

To manually install a driver, the user needs to open Device Manager and click on the device to establish contacts between particular drivers with corresponding device. Here are the steps to install drivers try:

1. Right-click on the chosen device and choose "Properties", so as to open the Device Properties window.
2. Click the "Update Driver" icon and follow the steps provided by the installation wizard, then manually choose the location where the corresponding device driver is stored.
